Schedule Mirror

Interactive Interface | Screen-based Mirror Prototype
Phone Web App, Display, Face Tracking, Supabase
Schedule Mirror combines schedule reminders with the everyday act of looking in the mirror. Instead of checking tasks on a phone, users see reminders directly on or around their face, making them feel more immediate, personal, and harder to ignore.
The project came from a personal frustration: I often save notes and reminders on my phone, but rarely return to them afterward because reopening the memo app feels like an extra step that is easy to skip or forget. Even timed notifications can be quickly dismissed and fade into the background of everyday phone use. This made me wonder whether reminders could become harder to ignore if they appeared directly on the face.

Inspiration
The project was inspired by the idea of writing on skin, like secret cheat notes people once scribbled on their hands before an exam.
It was also influenced by tattoo culture. People often get tattoos to permanently remember someone, a moment, or a date they want to keep close for a long time. Face Memo combines this idea with the everyday sticky note — not as a permanent mark, but as a temporary tattoo for tasks, thoughts, and daily reminders.
The mirror became important because looking in the mirror is already part of everyday life. People naturally check mirrors to adjust clothing, fix makeup, or examine their appearance. I wanted to explore whether that familiar attention to the face could become a playful and intimate interface for remembering.

How It Works
The system has two interfaces: a mobile web app for input and control, and a screen-based mirror display for showing the reminders.
Mode Selection
Users can select two modes on the phone:
On the home page, users can turn Face Memo and Bubble Reminder on or off through separate active buttons. The two modes can be enabled together or used independently.
The selected mode is synced to the mirror display in real time.

1. Face Memo
Face Memo turns reminder text into a 3D sticker placed on the face.
The text follows the movement of the head in real time.

On the phone, users can:
- type a short memo
- adjust text size
- choose a color
- preview the AR result
- press Update to sync it to the mirror
Bubble Reminder displays the next upcoming event in a white bubble beside the face.
On the phone, users can:
- enter a time and event name
- choose whether the event repeats every day
If Everyday is checked, the event repeats daily.
If it is not checked, the event only appears on the selected date and disappears after it passes.
