Under the dual influence of social media and societal pressure, an increasing number of young people are embracing negative views like “effort is futile” and “destiny is determined by birth.” Consequently, they indulge into a lifestyle focused on seeking thrills, overnight wealth, and instant gratification. This leads young people to immerse themselves in an input-oriented, superficial thinking mode, thereby losing the enthusiasm for active and deep thought.
“NOT YET” utilizes popular instant entertainment methods and elements among young people today, like lotteries and scratch cards, combined with AR technology and creative images. It expands conventionally perceived flat lottery tickets into an imaginative “three-dimensional space, ” aiming to awaken the audience's enthusiasm for active imagination and diverse thinking.
Inspiration
Recently, I've noticed a rise in lottery ticket vendors in my city. Unlike in the past, where the main customers were older people, more and more young people are now getting into scratch-off lottery tickets. At the same time, many individuals born in the '90s and 2000s complain about the hardships of work and low income, dreaming of getting rich overnight through winning the lottery or marrying into wealth. Why are more and more young people becoming obsessed with lottery tickets and dreams of sudden wealth, to the point where ideas like "effort is futile" are popular?
